Seacrest Village: (760) 632-0081

September 8, 2023

Dear Residents and Family Members,

It has been a while since we have sent a letter about COVID, yet today we find it necessary to share with you that we are experiencing a recent surge in positive COVID cases at Seacrest Village. We currently have 10 positive cases; 5 residents in our Independent Living Residence and 5 staff members who work throughout the campus.

For this reason, we are asking residents and visitors to please wear masks when in common areas of our buildings. We also ask if you have cold or flu like symptoms, to please refrain from visiting, if a family member, and if a resident, to refrain from being around others until you feel better.

We have been through this before and will get through it again. We have learned much from our first go-around, yet one thing we know for certain is that by all of us working together, we have a greater chance of keeping everyone safe and of preventing further spread of the virus.

As in the past, we are committed to being fully transparent and keeping you informed. That said, at this time, we will not be making calls or sending letters each time a positive case is reported, but rather sharing specific information with those who need to know, in real time. If you would like to be informed of the positive cases on campus, we offer a weekly update each Monday morning that indicates all positive COVID cases on campus within the past 7 days. Please refer to our website, www.seacrestvillage.org and click on Seacrest Village COVID-19 Updates.

Please do not hesitate to contact Carl Measer, Chief Operating Officer, or your building director, should you have questions or concerns. Thank you all in advance for your cooperation.

Wishing those who celebrate, a very restful Shabbat and a good and healthy New Year.

Shana Tova, and warm regards to all,
