Seacrest Village: (760) 632-0081

July 7, 2021

Dear Seacrest Residents, Family Members, and Associates,

I am very sorry to have to share this with you but one of our Independent Living residents has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. This resident, who previously had COVID-19 and was also fully vaccinated, is now in the hospital. We ask you to join us in sending healing thoughts.

Current CDC guidelines suggest that those who have been vaccinated and exposed to someone with COVID-19 no longer need to be quarantined, or even tested, unless one experiences symptoms such as cough, fever, itchy throat, abdominal pain, or muscle aches. If that occurs, it is important that you let us know immediately.

Residents who live in our Independent Living building, and who frequently visit family or friends in any of our healthcare operations, (Katzin Residence, Leichtag Family Assisted Living Residence and Goldberg Health Care Center) will need to refrain from visiting for a few days until we have a better understanding of who may have been exposed. As you all know, we had a July 5th BBQ on Monday, and our resident was indeed at this BBQ with others. Again, you must let us know if you experience any symptoms.

We want you to know that the entire Seacrest staff is concerned, and we are doing everything we can to mitigate the spread of this virus. We need your help right now as we do contact tracing and determine possible exposures.

Now is the time for each of us to be mindful of others. Please report any illness and family members, please be cautious when visiting. We trust that everyone will make decisions in the best interest of themselves and others. Let us not take any unnecessary risks.

If you need anything, please ask your building manager. Again, please be careful everyone. Sadly, no vaccination gives us 100% protection.

Sincerely,

Pam Ferris
