Dear Residents, Families and Associates,
I hope this finds you well. I am pleased to share that since we reported three of our residents were exposed to a Seacrest at Home caregiver who tested positive for COVID-19, two of the three residents were tested after seven and fourteen days, and all results are negative. Further we have been in contact with the family of the third resident who discharged home as scheduled, and learned that that individual is fine as well.
In addition, we tested every resident in our Katzin Residence after 14 days, and they also tested negative. We now consider this case of a positive exposure closed, and are grateful that at this time, we have no known COVID-19 cases on COVID-19 on our campus! October begins a new month of testing and we will continue to apprise you of any new developments.
We ask that residents continue to refrain from leaving the campus except for medical appointments, and strongly encourage families and residents to take advantage of our on-site visiting program that can easily be pre-scheduled.
To schedule visits with residents who live in our Goldberg Residence Court, please email Kate Ferris at kferris@seacrestvillage.org, and to schedule visits with residents who reside in any other buildings, please email Jenny Jacobs at jjacobs@seacrestvillage.org.
Visits are not allowed to occur from resident balconies, in the parking lot or at the main entrance when dropping items off. Many residents continue to complain that not everyone is adhering to our visiting and other protocols which they find very upsetting. They know, like we do, that if everyone does their part, we have a greater chance of keeping COVID-19 out of Seacrest.
Stay well, and please understand we are doing our very best to keep our residents and staff safe. We know this is an extremely hard time for everyone, and ask for your continued support and patience. We truly are all in this together and need everyone’s cooperation!
