Seacrest Village: (760) 632-0081

October 5, 2020 UPDATED

Dear Residents and Families,

Though you heard good news from us earlier today, unfortunately, this afternoon we learned that a resident in our Independent Living Residence has tested positive for COVID-19.

As of now we are requiring all Independent Living residents in both Buildings A and F to remain in their apartments until we can begin contact tracing and then testing.

The resident, like many, is very social and there are many people who need to be contacted. Again, until further notice, all Independent Living residents are to remain in their apartments.

For the immediate future, please know that until further notice in our Independent Living Residence only there will be:

  • no activities
  • no beauty salon
  • no fitness center, and
  • no family visits

Do not leave your room to go to the mail room, laundry room or the trash room. We will be in touch with you soon as to how these things will be handled.

This recent news is another reminder of how unpredictable this virus can be. To our residents who live in Independent Living, we are pleading with you, that for the benefit of our Seacrest community, you remain in quarantine and follow our protocols, whether you agree with them or not. If you don’t, you put everyone else at risk; your fellow residents, especially those more compromised with their own health issues as well as our dedicated staff members.

Families, we understand how challenging this time is for you yet need your full cooperation, now more than ever. Until you hear further, if you have a resident who lives in our Independent Living Residence, we are pleading with you too, that you please not come onto our campus. We will begin testing our residents and staff soon and promise to keep you informed of any updates.

To those families who have residents in other buildings, our visiting programs, activities, and beauty salons will continue during this time.

Please know we are all in this together and need to do everything possible to keep this virus from infecting any and all others. We truly thank you for your patience and cooperation.

All my best
