Dear Residents and Families,

I hope this finds everyone well. I am writing to share after last week’s announcement that an employee in our Culinary Department tested positive for COVID-19, all tests of those residents and staff impacted, have come back negative. Therefore, we are pleased to say that at this time, we have no known COVID-19 cases on campus. We expect the Katzin Residence visits to resume Thursday, November 5th, after the 14 day quarantine, assuming no positive test results are received between now and then. Thankfully, no one is experiencing symptoms and our employee has remained asymptomatic.

As COVID-19 cases continue to rise throughout our country, we remain diligent in our effort to keep our residents safe. We continue to ask that residents not leave the campus, even on Thanksgiving, where reports suggest that family gatherings are discouraged, as this can cause further spread of the virus.

I am pleased to share our plans to provide our residents with a beautiful Thanksgiving meal served in our dining rooms, and that a lovely concert will follow at 3:00 p.m. on SVTV, our in-house TV station. Other great news is that our visiting program will be available in all levels of care on the following days and times:

  • Wednesday, November 25th, 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, November 26th, 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Friday, November 27th, 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, November 29th, 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

To schedule visits with those in our healthcare center, assisted living or memory care, please email Jenny Jacobs at jjacobs@seacrestvillage.org or call 760-516-2007.

To schedule visits with those who reside in independent living, please email Kate Ferris at kferris@seacrestvillage.org or call 760-632-3704.

If you live out of town or are unable to visit and prefer to schedule a Zoom, Skype or FaceTime call, please contact Marisa Rosenberg at mrosenberg@seacrestvillage.org or call 760-516-2025.

Again, it is our sincere hope that residents not leave the campus, which greatly increases the risk to all residents and staff, and that those interested, will schedule their visits soon. If you must leave the campus, please let your building director know. On behalf of all of us at Seacrest, I want to wish everyone a wonderful upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. We know these are unprecedented times, and truly appreciate your on-going support and understanding. As long as the pandemic continues, we too will continue to put the safety and well-being of our residents and staff at the forefront of everything we do.

With gratitude,
