November 11, 2020
Dear Residents and Family Members,
My hope is that this letter finds you all well and managing as best as possible.
I will start by sharing that at present time we have no known cases of COVID-19 on our Seacrest Campus. I remain confident that this is in part the result of the work we are doing together.
I want to address our situation in San Diego County. San Diego’s case rate has continued to rise more than any of us had hoped. We are now in the Purple Tier with an adjusted case rate of 8.9 positive COVID-19 cases per 100,000 individuals. This is a very high and alarming number not yet seen in San Diego County.
In response to this, and with proper guidance, we have decided to put a hold on the family visiting program until San Diego County moves out of the Purple Tier. Please know that all visits scheduled through this Sunday, November 15, will continue as scheduled. This was a very difficult decision to make and, as with everything we do, it was made in your best interest. We know that there are residents who are contemplating leaving for Thanksgiving Day; we ask you to please reconsider as what each of us does affects the other. Of all times, we are strongly encouraging residents to not leave the campus and families not to visit the campus unless you are dropping off a package at our front entrance.
While we all await the time when residents can reunite with friends and loved ones, we remain strong, positive, and supportive during our days together at Seacrest. Residents please continue to use the gym and swimming pool and participate in small activities together. We also want you to continue enjoying the dining room. For now, the beauty salon will remain open and your appointments for massages will remain. Please get plenty of fresh air; visiting outside is best. We are so fortunate to live in Encinitas with this beautiful weather. Please take care of one another by wearing masks and social distancing when you are out of your apartments.
Please do not hesitate to call me should you have any questions.
