Seacrest Village: (760) 632-0081
June 5, 2020

Dear Residents, Families and Associates,

As always, I hope you and your family are managing as best as possible. I am pleased to share with you the following topics that I hope will provide some comfort and reassurance.

I am pleased to report that ALL of the 313 COVID-19 tests of the residents and staff from the most recent round of testing in the Dorothy & Joseph Goldberg Health Care Center are negative. In accordance with the county guidelines, all residents and staff were retested approximately 7 days after the first test. As we continue to practice social distancing and routine washing of hands, please be mindful that whatever we do as a community affects others. Our choice not to be in large public spaces and to always wear a mask around others (outside of those with whom we live) can have a profound impact on all of us. It is for this reason we still strongly discourage residents and staff from going out to public places such as stores, restaurants, hair dressers, beaches, etc. We are proud of our results and remain steadfast in our desire to keep our practices in place as they appear to be working!

Our Seacrest Social Distancing Visiting Program will begin Monday, June 8th. To schedule an appointment, please email Jenny Jacobs, Executive Assistant at jjacobs@seacrestvillage.org. It is critical that families do not come to our campus unannounced as these visits need to be coordinated given the number of residents who reside here. Click here to view our Family Visiting Protocols.

Family visits will occur:

Our beauty salon has also opened and each building director will work directly with the residents to schedule appointments. Please be patient as we do our best to accommodate everyone.

We have been following closely the Safe Re-Opening Plan for Pools and intend to reopen our pool once we receive approval from the State Health Order.

To our associates we thank you for upholding the Seacrest Pledge and for making your work and your families your priority. You are helping to keep our residents and one another healthy by these actions and we are all grateful.

To our residents and families, we know and feel the desire to reunite and there is nothing we want more. It will be our greatest joy to start these family gatherings (with social distance practices of course).

Please be patient with us as we seek to keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible. Please direct all questions to me at pferris@seacrestvillage.org or call (760) 632-0081. Thank you!

Shabbat Shalom,
