Dear Residents and Families,

Today we learned about three positive cases for the COVID-19 virus on campus. One of our residents in Assisted Living has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. Secondly a member of our Life Enrichment team who works in our Goldberg Healthcare Center tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. This individual last worked July 19. Lastly, we also learned that one of the culinary team members in the kitchen tested positive for the COVID-19 virus who last worked July 17. Unfortunately, all three of these individuals are symptomatic.

We have conducted contact tracing and those exposed were notified. In addition, we continue to report all positive cases to the applicable regulatory agencies and follow the CDC guidelines regarding staff returning to work.

As a reminder, as directed by the County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency, all visits to residents in Assisted Living will need to occur outside until further notice. Visitors will still need to take a rapid test when they arrive, and while waiting for the result, staff will bring the resident to the outside area, which will be either in the front of Assisted Living or the main entrance.

Again, we appreciate your ongoing patience as we navigate through this incredibly challenging time.

Stay well, and please do not hesitate to call if you have any questions.
