Dear Residents, Families and Associates,
The following information pertains only to our Leichtag Assisted Living Residence.
Last week an employee who works in Assisted Living (AL) tested positive for COVID-19. We took immediate action and began contact tracing to determine which residents and staff were potentially exposed. At the same time, we stopped outside visits, programming, and service in the dining room.
Testing of our AL residents and staff was conducted yesterday. Today, I am pleased to share with you that there has been no further spread of the virus.
The AL dining room will resume service at lunchtime today, Tuesday July 20th, as well as outside visits, and programming. Our AL salon will resume its usual schedule of service this Thursday and Friday.
With the increased spread of COVID-19 cases in San Diego and the Delta variant spreading at a more rapid pace than anticipated, we are prepared to do whatever is necessary to protect our residents and staff. This means if we must act quickly again, we will.
We trust you know that all decisions are made in the best interest of everyone and are grateful for the outpouring of support from so many of you.
Please don’t hesitate to contact your building director if you have questions. Stay safe, everyone. And thank you again for your ongoing support.
