Seacrest Village: (760) 632-0081

July 15, 2021

Dear Residents, Families and Associates –

I’m sorry to inform you that this morning we received a positive test result from a symptomatic employee who works in Assisted Living. Our employee, who is unvaccinated, last worked Monday July 12, 2021.

Effectively immediately, in addition to Independent Living, all family visits to Assisted Living will need to be postponed until we have a chance to test all residents and staff who live and work in that building. The testing will occur Monday July 19th and if all results are received Tuesday July 20th and are negative, we will resume our normal operations in the Assisted Living Residence. Of course, if anyone exhibits symptoms, they will be tested immediately.

Family visits for those who reside in the Katzin Residence and our Goldberg Health Care Center will be allowed based on the visiting protocols identified in my previous correspondence.

The following information pertains to our Assisted Living Residence only:

Our AL dining room will be closed and meals will be delivered to residents until such time as we resume operations. While resident programming will be on hold, I want to remind everyone that there will be programming on our internal SVTV Channel 1390, and services this Shabbat will occur on SVTV. Zoom calls for our AL residents are available, and to schedule an appointment, please contact Stephanie Herrera at sherrera@seacrestvillage.org.

Residents may go outside to the AVS patio though need to wear masks and remain in the area under the canopy. To decrease the risk of further exposure across our campus, residents will not be permitted to visit residents in other buildings at this time. We recommend all medical appointments be postponed as we know providers prefer those who have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 not enter their offices. If you must take your family member to an appointment or out of the building, please advise Mary Fawell, at mfawell@seacrestvillage.org or call 760-516-2040.

We are truly sorry that this is happening. As you have heard before, when new situations arise, we will act quickly and continue to do everything possible to protect our residents and staff. Your patience and cooperation are most appreciated as we complete our contact tracing and testing, and continue to respond to the unpredictability of this virus.

If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to contact your building director.
Please be safe everyone.

Sincerely,

Pam Ferris
