Seacrest Village: (760) 632-0081

July 12, 2022

Good afternoon, Residents and Families,

Today we learned that three residents, a Seacrest at Home caregiver, and a culinary team member have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. Of the three residents, one resident resides in our Goldberg Healthcare Center, and two reside in our Assisted Living Residence. The Seacrest at Home caregiver last worked July 11th, off the Seacrest campus resulting in no resident contact. The culinary team member, who works in the Katzin Residence, last worked July 11th. Unfortunately, all residents and team members are symptomatic, and we know you join us in wishing them full and speedy recoveries.

Contact tracing began immediately, and those exposed were notified. We continue to report all positive cases to the applicable regulatory agencies and follow the CDC guidelines regarding staff returning to work.

We share your concern about the recent COVID-19 surge and urge you to please take extra precautions to protect yourselves, your families, and your friends. In the last thirty days, Seacrest has had forty-nine positive COVID-19 cases which include nineteen residents, twenty-six staff members, and four contractors. At this time, we have not stopped visitors, volunteers, and entertainers from coming to our campus, and our dining rooms remain open except for one of our two dining rooms in our Goldberg Healthcare Center. Should we continue to experience positive cases, it will be necessary to adjust our operations to mitigate the spread of the virus and keep everyone as safe as possible.

We appreciate your ongoing patience. Please be careful, and do not hesitate to reach out if you have questions.

Most sincerely,

Pam Ferris
