Seacrest Village: (760) 632-0081

January 9, 2021

Dear Residents, Families and Staff,

This morning we received additional test results and I want to inform you that two more of our Katzin residents have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. Families of residents who have tested positive are contacted immediately. In addition, another Katzin employee has tested positive. The employee was last on campus on January 8, 2021.

I also want to let you know that as of this moment all Independent Living residents and staff have tested negative during the first round of testing. We will test all Independent Living residents again on Monday, January 11, 2021, and, at that time we will determine if we can end the quarantine of Independent Living on Tuesday, January 12, 2021.

As we always share, we will continue to follow the “Criteria for Return to Work for Health Care Personnel with Confirmed or Suspected COVID-19” guidance issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

We are doing everything we possibly can to mitigate the spread of the virus on our Seacrest Campus. We know that you are all concerned, though we ask that you limit your calls to the staff unless necessary. We have only one goal and that is to keep your family members protected and safe and this means that we need all staff available at this important time. We will be communicating with you regularly.

We appreciate everyone’s support.

Sincerely,

Pam Ferris
