Good afternoon, Residents and Families,

Today we learned that a resident in our Goldberg Healthcare Center (GHC) has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. The resident is in isolation, and all other residents in GHC thankfully, tested negative today. We will repeat testing in accordance with the Department of Health guidelines. Contact tracing has taken place and those exposed were notified. We continue to follow the CDC Guidelines on isolation and the mitigation of spread. In addition, we will report this information to all mandated agencies.

We appreciate you working with us during this most recent surge in positive COVID-19 cases on our campus. Family members, you must wear masks when in our common areas, and we would also very much appreciate it if all visitors would please take a rapid test during our check-in process. This is important, given we have had several visitors, who prior to exposing their loved one, were surprised to learn they tested positive.

As we continue to fight this surge, our top priorities are as follows:

  1. To keep visitors with flu-like symptoms or COVID-19 away from our residents and staff until symptoms reside or one tests negative for COVID-19.
  2. To have residents with symptoms limit their contact with others, avoid going to the dining room, and request a rapid test. If it is necessary to leave their apt, wear a mask in all common areas to limit exposure to others.
  3. To mitigate the spread of the virus throughout our Seacrest community. This will keep our residents and staff healthy, and allow our dedicated staff to continue to care for our beloved residents.
  4. To continue to be transparent and communicate with our constituents about the positive COVID-19 cases we experience, and to report any changes in our operations that need to be made as a result of these cases.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Thank you for your cooperation. It is greatly appreciated.
