January 22, 2023

Good afternoon, Residents and Families,

Today we learned that a resident in the Katzin Residence and an independent contractor, who was last on campus January 14, have both tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. The Katzin resident is in isolation, and we are working hard to contain the spread of the virus. Contact tracing has taken place and those exposed were notified. All other Katzin residents were tested today, and thankfully tested negative. We continue to follow the CDC Guidelines and report this information to all mandated agencies.

Visitation for our Katzin Residence is still planning to resume Monday January 23, without appointment, although outdoor visits are strongly encouraged, weather permitting. We ask all visitors to the Katzin Residence to limit visiting times between 10am and 4pm to best serve our residents. If you need to make other arrangements, please let Cynthia or David know.

Families, we can’t stress enough the importance of postponing your visit if you don’t feel well, have symptoms, or have been exposed to others who are sick. Residents, if you have any symptoms, concerns, or questions, please contact our staff at any time. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

By all of us working together, we can hopefully prevent more positive cases on our campus and stop the spread of the virus.

Many thanks for your patience, understanding, and support,
