January 22, 2022

Dear Residents and Families,

Shabbat Shalom and I hope you are all well.

I am sorry to report that last evening we learned that two members of our Goldberg Healthcare Center nursing team tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. Both are currently asymptomatic. One last worked on January 20, 2022, and the other worked yesterday, January 21, 2022. In addition, a resident in our Goldberg Healthcare Center has also tested positive and is fortunately asymptomatic.

This morning, we learned that a member of our Resident Services Department in Independent Living has tested positive. This employee last worked January 20, 2022 and is currently asymptomatic. Also, this morning a resident in our Independent Living community has tested positive and is fortunately asymptomatic. As you can imagine, we are still conducting contact tracing, and several people have already been notified. It is important to share that all residents in the Independent Living Community have potentially been exposed. Residents, please, at this time do not go off campus unless medically necessary. It is only fair to others that you not risk bringing the virus in after going out. Restaurants and other indoor spaces are currently not safe, and we want you all to be protected. If you are going to the home of a family member, you should make sure everyone is tested and take every precaution not to be exposed. That said, we encourage you to stay on campus until we do further testing of each Independent Living resident, which will take place next week.  Please practice social distances even outdoors and wear your mask indoors and when within six feet of others. We highly encourage all residents to go outside and enjoy our beautiful weather.

As always, we have also contacted all mandated agencies. We continue to follow CDC guidelines for returning to work, and we wish all our employees and residents a complete recovery.

And lastly, while this news is concerning, We want you to know that our team is working around the clock, and we will get through this. Thank you for your continued support.

Most Sincerely,

Pam Ferris
