January 20, 2022

Dear Residents and Families,

It is a beautiful day outside, and as I walked around the campus, I was happy to see so many residents enjoying the gardens. I hope that our local family members are also enjoying the weather today. It’s hard to believe this is mid-January; it feels like summer.

I am sorry to report that last evening one of our Goldberg Healthcare Center residents tested positive for the COVID-19 Virus. Fortunately, our resident is asymptomatic, and we hope it remains this way. Today, we learned that one of our Goldberg Healthcare Center housekeepers has tested positive. This employee was last on campus yesterday, January 19, 2022, and is, unfortunately, experiencing symptoms. Also today, one of our security team members has tested positive. This employee was last on campus January 13, 2022, and unfortunately is experiencing symptoms. We have conducted contact tracing and notified anyone who may have been exposed. We have also contacted all mandated agencies. We continue to follow CDC guidelines for returning to work.

Please join me in sending our beloved resident and team members, and all others recovering from COVID-19, healing thoughts and wishes for a speedy recovery. While we remain in a cautionary state on our campus and in our practices, we are also very thankful that those recently getting the virus have been able to manage at home without hospital intervention. As such, we are most grateful. In addition, many of our employees who tested positive over the past weeks have returned to work, and we are so happy to have them back.

As always, we thank you for your continued support.

Most Sincerely,

Pam Ferris
