Seacrest Village: (760) 632-0081

January 19, 2021

Dear Seacrest Residents, Family Members, and Associates,

I want to inform you that a resident in our Independent Living community has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. This resident was last on campus yesterday, January 18th. At the moment Independent Living is in a precautionary state as we conduct contract tracing. If you were exposed, you will be notified.

Residents, we cannot stress enough the need to wear masks when outside of your apartment. In addition, please always maintain a social distance of six feet or more. We do not want the building in quarantine, and we do not want this virus to spread. Also, when you open your apartment door you must have a mask on.

I want to share too that we just learned today that the date our Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Katzin residents will receive the vaccine is January 28th! We are thrilled for this news and can now focus on getting resident consents and other necessary information to upload to CVS Health.

Please know that CVS has indicated that they will not administer the vaccine to anyone who within 14 days of the vaccine date has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus, had a TB test, or received the Flu or Shingles shot. The Katzin residents who received the BAM infusion will need to wait 90 days from the date of their infusion and consult with their primary care physician before receiving the vaccine.

We still request that residents not leave the campus other than for medical appointments. Each time we take an unnecessary risk we put ourselves and others at risk. Our campus has had its share of difficulty in the past many weeks and with the vaccine around the corner, we need everyone to stay well!

We are all here to support one another. Please do not hesitate to contact your building director if you need anything.

Sincerely,

Pam Ferris
