January 13, 2022

Dear Residents and Family Members,

Today we learned that two members of our culinary team have tested positive for the COVID-19 Virus. The first employee was assigned to our Leichtag Assisted Living Community and was on campus today, January 13, 2022. This employee is unfortunately now having symptoms. The second culinary team member was assigned to the Goldberg Healthcare Center and was last on campus January 10, 2022. This employee is fortunately asymptomatic. We have conducted contact tracing and notified anyone who may have been exposed. We have also contacted all mandated agencies. We continue to follow CDC guidelines for returning to work.

Please join me in sending our beloved team members, and all others recovering from COVID-19, healing thoughts and wishes for a speedy recovery.

As you know, things are changing day by day and we are staying on top of each new development and recommendation that is being made by authorities. Nothing is more important than the health and safety of our residents and staff.

With that said, and because we feel it is in the best interest of the residents, we have made the decision, beginning tomorrow, January 14, to begin programming in the buildings that were in a precautionary period without activities. Attendance for these programs will be based upon the size of the room and building directors will communicate details with the residents. This change only effects programming. We are still not allowing visitors and residents we ask you to stay on our beautiful campus.

Activities will be led by staff and residents. Masks and social distancing will be required.

Daily programming will be distributed to our Independent and Assisted Living residents which will include all necessary details. At this time, programming for each building will remain separate.

We will continue to offer a wide range of programs, including Religious Services, on SVTV Channel 1390.

Beginning Monday, January 17, the Fitness & Aquatic Center will be open M-F from 7:00AM-10:00AM for Independent Living residents. Classes will not be offered at this time and there will be limited capacity. Masks will be required. Individual personal training sessions with residents in both Independent and Assisted Living will continue in resident apartments or outside. If you are interested in a private session, please call the Fitness Center at 760-632-3739.

Thank you for your continued support and trust.

PS: Thank you to those who have supported our COVID HEROES FUND. The staff are already looking forward to tomorrow’s Challah delivery! If you would like to support the staff at this time, you can contribute on our website at www.seacrestfoundation.org or simply mail your gift to Seacrest Foundation and designate COVID-19.

Most sincerely,
