Seacrest Village: (760) 632-0081

January 12, 2021

Dear Seacrest Residents, Family Members, and Associates,

Today we received test results and three more of our Katzin residents have now tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. In addition, another Katzin employee, who was last on campus yesterday, has also tested positive. All families have already been notified and the staff has been made aware.

As we always share, we will continue to follow the “Criteria for Return to Work for Health Care Personnel with Confirmed or Suspected COVID-19” guidance issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The next few weeks will be the most dangerous due to the recent holidays and the choices people make regarding gathering with those outside of their immediate household. Please take this into consideration.

Please remember:

  • Wear the appropriate PPE (mask/shield/gown).
  • Avoid touching your face.
  • Wash your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds and use hand sanitizer.
  • Social distance and stay home as much as possible when not at work.
  • Self-isolate if showing any signs of COVID-19.
  • Seek medical assistance as necessary.

We are doing everything we possibly can to mitigate the spread of the virus in our Katzin Residence. Please know that we do have all of the PPE (personal protective equipment) that is needed, and we are staying strong and supporting one another. We ask that you keep our residents and staff in your thoughts as this is a very difficult time for our Seacrest Family.

We appreciate everyone’s support and all of the kind emails and calls.

Sincerely,

Pam Ferris
