Seacrest Village: (760) 632-0081

December 31, 2020

Dear Residents, Families and Staff,

We want to take this opportunity to share what an incredible and historic day Seacrest had yesterday when almost 300 people received the first shot of the vaccine! We are so proud that the majority of our Seacrest staff were vaccinated along with almost every nursing home resident! Those vaccinated yesterday will receive our second shot January 20, 2021.

We also learned through our communications with CVS Health, that we should soon receive a date for the Assisted Living and Katzin residents to receive their first shot! We are still uncertain as to when or how the IL residents will receive their vaccine, and will continue to keep you posted as we learn more.

As you can imagine, we are thrilled to be off to this great start, and want to thank our tremendous staff and residents who participated yesterday. We especially want to thank you for your patience and understanding, as we know it was a long day!

We also want to share that late yesterday we learned a Seacrest at Home caregiver tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. The caregiver was last in the building on December 15th and only served one resident who is no longer living at Seacrest. This latest case is unfortunate and should be a reminder to us all that, even with the vaccine, we are far from the end of the pandemic. We still need to wear masks, wash hands frequently, socially distance and follow the Governor’s Stay at Home Order. We urge you to continue to adhere to our Seacrest Pledge.

Lastly, we know this past year has been extremely exhausting for everyone. We want to extend our tremendous gratitude to you all for your on-going support, patience and most of all, resilience. Our Seacrest stamina is strong, and we continue to be confident, knowing that this too shall pass.

From our Seacrest family to yours, may 2021 be filled with good health, happiness and hope,

Pam Ferris
