December 12, 2020

Good afternoon Seacrest Residents and Family Members,

Late yesterday another nurse and a caregiver in our Goldberg Healthcare Center both tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. The nurse has not worked since Wednesday, December 9, 2020, and the caregiver’s last day worked was December 11, 2020. The residents that these two employees were caring for have been notified and are in quarantine.

We realize that our letters and calls have been almost daily and it may be difficult for you. Please know that we feel a tremendous responsibility to keep you informed. We also want you to know that the past two weeks have brought us more employee cases than we have had in total over the past nine months. All staff remain in Personal Protective Equipment as required and we are doing everything we can to mitigate the spread of this virus. Today I met with many of our nursing team who are all feeling the incredible weight of this situation. The vaccine cannot come soon enough for all of us.

As we have previously shared, we will continue to follow the “Criteria for Return to Work for Health Care Personnel with Confirmed or Suspected COVID-19” guidance issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

We are in the initial stage of preparations for the vaccination and we will keep you informed as we have more information.

If you need anything or have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to your building manager.

Sincerely,

Pam Ferris
