December 1, 2020
Good morning Seacrest Residents and Family Members,
Last evening we received notification that three residents in our Independent Living community and one resident in our Assisted Living community were exposed to an outside care manager who has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. All four residents and families have been notified. The residents who were exposed are in quarantine as to protect the rest of the community from potential exposure. The care manager was last on our Seacrest campus on Friday, November 27, 2020. Testing of our Independent Living community is already in process as we began our December testing today.
Over the past several weeks we have stressed the importance of being extremely aware of how this virus can quickly transmit. As evidenced by our more frequent communications with you, we are experiencing more cases than we have thus far. I would be remiss if I told you that we are not concerned—we are. We again remind and encourage family members to communicate regularly through email, FaceTime, Skype, Zoom and traditional phone calls but not to come to the campus. We must ask residents to wear masks at all times when outside of your apartments, social distance of six feet or more, and wash hands frequently.
Please trust that we are doing our best and we appreciate your ongoing support. Now is the time for us to ask you to increase your awareness and efforts. Residents please stay on campus.
Sincerely,
Pam Ferris
