Seacrest Village: (760) 632-0081

August 21, 2020

Good afternoon Seacrest Family,

As you know, we are continually testing all residents and staff on a monthly basis. I am writing to share that late yesterday we learned another member of our Culinary staff tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. This employee, who is asymptomatic, is a server in our Independent Living residence. Contact tracing is underway and those potentially exposed either were already contacted or will be contacted by the end of business day. I can assure you that we are taking every measure possible to protect our residents and staff.

Residents, please remember to always wear your mask when opening the door to receive your meals, and to refrain from going into each other’s apartments. We encourage you to socialize outside while wearing your mask and maintaining social distancing of 6 feet apart.

As we have previously shared, we will continue to follow the “Criteria for Return to Work for Health Care Personnel with Confirmed or Suspected COVID-19” guidance issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

This new positive test result reminds us that we as a Seacrest community are not in any way free of the need to continue, and even enhance, our strict practices.

Again, we ask your full cooperation as we continue to restrict all visits to the Seacrest community and request that residents not leave the campus. We know how difficult this is and continue to ask for your patience and support as we go through this together.

Please rest assured, if a situation directly impacts you, you will be contacted as soon as possible.

I want to thank each of you for your continued trust and understanding.

Do not hesitate to call me should you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Pam Ferris
