Dear Seacrest Residents, Families and Associates,

Yesterday morning we received test results and were saddened to learn that another one of our Leichtag Family Assisted Living Residence caregivers tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. This employee had also recently worked a shift in the Katzin Residence. Several hours later we were notified that two of our culinary employees tested positive as well. To say that yesterday was not the day we had hoped for is an understatement. Our Executive Team, the entire staff, and our residents are feeling the weight of this but I assure you that we are doing everything possible to mitigate the spread of this virus. As is our protocol, we immediately began contact tracing of our staff and residents, and I assure you that we are taking every measure possible to provide protection. Please know that if the situation directly impacts you, you will be notified immediately.

At this point, both our Leichtag Family Assisted Living Residence and Katzin Residence are in isolation and we are monitoring all residents closely for symptoms and continuing our testing protocol until these buildings can be cleared according to San Diego County guidelines.

We remind and encourage family members to communicate regularly through email, FaceTime, Skype, Zoom and traditional phone calls. Again, I cannot stress enough the importance of staying on campus and protecting yourself and others.
