Seacrest Village: (760) 632-0081

April 21, 2021

Dear Seacrest Residents, Family Members, and Associates,

This morning we received notification that an employee who works in our Administration Department has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. This employee was last on campus on April 20, 2021.

The concerning fact is that this employee has been fully vaccinated. The individual is asymptomatic at this point which we hope will continue. Our contact tracing was conducted and all those who were exposed have been notified.

As we always share, we will continue to follow the “Criteria for Return to Work
for Health Care Personnel with Confirmed or Suspected COVID-19” guidance
issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Please remember that even though most staff and residents have been vaccinated, the possibility still exists that we can get the COVID-19 virus, especially with the numerous COVID-19 variants.

Therefore, it is still critical that we follow these protocols:

  • Wear the appropriate PPE (mask/shield/gown).
  • Avoid touching your face.
  • Wash your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds and use hand sanitizer.
  • Social distance and stay home as much as possible when not at work.
  • Self-isolate if showing any signs of COVID-19.
  • Seek medical assistance as necessary.

Lastly, I want to remind everyone that we are still a closed campus to visitors and families. If you would like to see your loved one, there is a procedure to schedule an appointment for an outside visit. If your visit occurs in a particular room inside due to inclement weather, please stay in the designated area and do not approach other residents or staff non-essential to your visit. We are not allowing visits to take place in resident rooms unless there are special circumstances and are arranged prior to your visit.

We are doing everything we possibly can to mitigate the spread of the virus on our beautiful Seacrest Campus. We have only one goal and that is to keep our residents and staff protected and safe. In the meantime, we ask that you keep our residents and staff in your thoughts as this is a very unsettling time for our Seacrest Family.

As always, please feel free to call if you have questions. We appreciate everyone’s support.

Best regards,
